At around 2am I emailed in detail and found a 24 hour number for them. They were not picking up the phone as I tried in vain from a hospital and then their company was closed for the day. When I forgot a malfunctioning card in a travel pay terminal I knew in 30 mins alas the website was malfunctioning and I could not log in and block the card by which all or all but one of the stolen card debits would have been avoided. Since the last 2 months the Caxtonfx website becomes off and on "403 page not found" or the website is visible but when trying to log in says "Error sorry come back later" or phone not being picked up (honestly I wait 15 or 20 mins with ringing phone as i don't have all day) and card malfunction which are intermittent problems, My last login attempt was before 22 August 2021. It has a feature to log in and block and unblock the prepay card. This British prepay debit card allows ATM transactions and pay terminals free of charge outside the UK and currency conversion. I have been a Caxtonfx customer for over 2 years using it to pay with British funds in Ireland. So my advice to any potential customer, stay well away because you run the risk of losing your money if they go under.Ī potentially fraudulent behaviour by Caxtonfx I am going with Starling which has a much better exchange rate anyway. I have never had a problem with them before, I thought they were very good, but something has gone very wrong there. In fact, I would say reading other reviews that it might be a blessing in disguise that I can't load my card because I would be worried that I would have a problem keeping my money. Someone wrote to me saying they are trying to redress the issue of staffing in the future. I rang them again this morning, I waited 20 mins as I was number 4 in the queue and it then cut me off. My bank had not even received a request for a transfer. Both Visa and my bank told me they did not block my transaction. I told them I need to load my card asap, no reply. I then tried emailing and they did get back eventually to tell me that I needed to provide a proof of address again for no reason. I then request a call back and it has never been honoured. So I rang them many times, after 20 mins I give up. I try to load my card and it is rejected again and again saying there is a mismatch of addresses between my bank account and them, which is not true. Customer Service is a disgrace I have used Caxton for 3 years now, But I now have no choice but to stop using them.
